Every Sunday all over the world the people of GOD gather together at their local church. It is a sacred time for Christians. It’s a time to hear the WORD of GOD, sent from GOD to the man of GOD. It is time to praise and worship. A time to serve. It is also a great time of fellowship and a time for the saints to pray together. Many beautiful things happen in GOD’s house. But many people out there say, “You don’t have to go to church to be saved.” Well to answer this I must go to GOD’s WORD. Hebrews 10:25 “Not forsaking the assembling of yourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as you see the day coming.” In this letter to the church, Apostle Paul is admonishing the believers not to forsake assembling as some do. Jesus says in John 15:15 “If ye love me keep my commandments.” I ask people if you love GOD then he commands us to go to church then why not go? GOD has commanded his people to gather together in addition to having an individual relationship since the beginning. People combat the question about having to go to church by saying you don’t have to go to church to be saved. My answer is but if you are saved why wouldn’t you go to church. Yes and I often hear, “we are the church” but the Church is also GOD’s house. It is a beautiful place where supernatural things happen. I always tell people church is the school for the saints. In addition to your individual communion with the LORD GOD, regular church attendance is required and will help you grow spiritually. The WORD also says faith comes by hearing. Romans 10:17 “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the WORD of GOD.” So the more you hear the WORD the stronger you grow. I encourage everyone to go to church. I have received so many miracles just because I made the sacrifice to go to church. There are many times I went to church and GOD healed me. One reason is that I made the sacrifice to go. That was faith in action. Secondly I have often asked the saints for prayer and GOD honored their prayer. James 5:14-16 ” Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church; let them call upon the elders of the church, anointing him with oil in the name of the LORD; 15) And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the LORD shall raise him up, and if he hath committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. 16) Confess your faults one to another, and pray for one another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” There are a lot of ways to get healed but one SURE way is to have the elders or leaders of the church anoint you with oil and have a group or the entire body of believers pray for you. I PROMISE your situation will change. 1 Kings 8:10-11 “And when it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the LORD, 11) So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the GLORY of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD.” The CHURCH is such a HOLY place. We forget that GOD created the church and has promised that he would meet us there. The presence of GOD is there and when we worship, praise, and get on one accord all types of miracles happen. I have been touched by GOD just by his presence alone while there. I have also received many blessings from the LORD because I went to his house. I have received peace of mind, joy, had amazing worship experiences, fellowshipped with the saints, made lasting friendships, and received natural gifts. Every time you make the sacrifice to go to church GOD is rewarding you. Again there is no greater place to be than GOD’s house. If people only knew the beautiful things that happen in GOD’s house they would never miss a service.
